Deck

The deck boards were treated 2 x 10's each 12' long. We cut them in half to begin the decking process. We lined the boards even on one side of the bridge deck being careful to use the un-cut side for that edge since it was treated.
The decking was attached using 4 carriage bolts on each of the 21 planks.
We bought a 3/8" titanium drill bit and after making the holes in the planks (2 x 10’s) we would drill the holes in the upper flange of the beam and bolt them in (didn't loose any nuts/bolts to the stream and only dropped the wrench twice, but it was tied to Bruce's clothing in good foreign material exclusion fashion.
The photo with the clamp shows how we would secure the planks to the beams while we were marking locations to drill the flange face.
