Beams
The beams were 20' long 6 x 4 W-flanges weighing 13 pounds per foot. We bought them at a local steel supply yard and had them delivered for $100.
We painted each beam with a red rust prohibitive [2 coats] prior to installation.
We lowered one end of the beam into the creek then using a come along we raised the beam to the other bank.

A 3/4" hole was drilled in the lower flange face of the beam using a titanium drill bit bought at Lowe's. Precise measurement of the location of the hole was important. The beams were then tightened down to the embedded bolt.
